Edwige Geminel, born and raised in France, moved in the United States in the mid-nineties. She pursued her studies in Music Business and Film at The New School University in NYC and started to work on her own film project (short film and music video). After few years, She focused her creativity in film and begin working in the Art Departments on numerous TV Show (‘’The Dave Chapelle Show’’), Music Video, Commercial and Long feature Film (The Thing about my Folks with Paul Reiser and Peter Falk).
Her first film as Production Designer was Love, Ludlow (Director: Adrienne Weiss), in 2004 which screened at the Sundance Film Festival in 2005 which received Best Audience Reward , followed by: The Favor (Director: Eva Aridjis starring Franck Wood and Ryan Donahue), which premiered at Cine Vegas 2006, Real La Pelicula (Director: Borja Manso) which received major European distribution, The Treatment (Director: Oren Rudavsky starring Ian Holm and Famke Janssen), which was named Best Made in New York Narrative Feature Film at the 2006 Tribeca Film Festival.
Her last two designed features are an Egyptian film called The Baby Doll Night (New York Segment ) (Director : Adel Adeeb Aziz) who premiered at Cannes Film Festival off competition in 2008 and
Frame of Mind (Director: Carl Evans), a fiction based on the assassination of JFK.
She designed a TV show, ("Style Me with Rachel Hunter"), for W&E Entertainments as well as a series for the web (“In Men we Trust”); music videos include work for Lenny Kravitz, Rooster, Regina Spector, etc; Talk Show for AMC Shoot Out Tribeca Film Festival 2008 with guests such as Sarah Jessica Parker, Isabella Rosselini, Tina Fey and Robert de Niro. Commercials for AMC, Scion, SAP.
She is now sharing her time between Marseilles, France and New York City. She is Art Directing a very popular daily show called Plus Bellle La Vie for France 3 in Marseilles.
She is also in post production of her own documentary, shot at the World Social Forum, in Venezuela, where she followed a group of young political activists for a month and also continues to work on her own music projects and videos.
